Fairfax City Economic Development (FCED) has embarked on a transformative journey with the launch of a refreshed brand identity, including a new logo and website. After thorough deliberations and collaboration among FCED staff and stakeholders, the department unveiled a redesigned website along with a new domain and logo.

This strategic shift aims to align the multiple brands of the Fairfax City Economic Development Department and Fairfax City Economic Development Authority (EDA) under a unified vision and forward-facing brand. By doing so, FCED underscores its agility within the economic development sphere, emphasizing that its operations are client and business-focused. This rebranding initiative is designed not only to highlight FCED’s distinct identity but also to support our business and economic investment goals by fostering a cohesive and recognizable presence. Furthermore, it reinforces FCED’s commitment to being a vital partner in business development and programming, facilitating collaborative partnerships that drive local business growth and economic success.

FCED has always punched above its weight, and this new identity makes it known domestically and internationally that the Fairfax City market is competitive and ripe with advantages for new, existing, and relocating businesses.

A Fresh New Look

The revamped logo reflects FCED’s close affiliation with the City of Fairfax, featuring the shield motif from the City’s logo at its core. This symbolizes FCED’s role in facilitating business growth and collaboration within the community. The updated color palette, incorporating shades of EDA blue, City blue, vibrant green, and secondary teal, conveys FCED’s authority and reliability as a business growth partner, while also reflecting the community’s forward-thinking and collaborative spirit.

“FCED’s new website and branding is the result of extensive pattern engagement and symbolizes our department’s commitment to building a dynamic, robust, and sustainable Fairfax City economy,” said Christopher Bruno, CEO and President of Fairfax City Economic Development. “FCED has always punched above its weight, and this new identity makes it known domestically and internationally that the Fairfax City market is competitive and ripe with advantages for new, existing, and relocating businesses.”
